Proudly serving the area since 1976

Great Lakes State Heating & Air Conditioning was established by Gary Lee Schmueker in 1976 and proudly continues to serve the area today with the same friendly and helpful attitude our business has practiced since the first day.

As a family-owned business in a tight-knit community, GLS flourished as economics changed and the town grew. Specializing in many arts of the HVAC business brought many customers from out-of-town and we continue to enjoy long-standing relationships with customers through both new systems and regular maintenance.

When a customer calls GLS, they hear the same familiar voice 24 hours a day. This personalized service eliminates long waits for after-hours emergencies and repeating the details of a problem multiple times.

GLS is more than just a furnace retailer. In addition to featuring heating and cooling units from Lennox and Maytag, GLS fabrication of metal for all types of uses is a specialized task we offer.

We also provide service and installation of water heaters, zone systems, boilers and heat pumps to name a few.

As the area's local heating and cooling company, GLS aims to far exceed these goals and ensure our customers' needs are always met.

At GLS, we are dedicated to providing many more years of this special care for our customers and their HVAC equipment.

If you have a problem after hours, call us. We make runs until midnight. If you have a question, stop in or call us. If you see us around town, ask us a question or schedule your next maintenance appointment. We are there for our customers and are proud to work with you.

Our office is located in downtown Williamston near City Hall, directly behind the police station just east of the four corners.
